In the linear view, time flows like a conveyor belt that moves horizontally from past to present to future at the same unchangeable speed for all of us. Time feels out of our control; we may feel some helplessness, and think we can only try to adapt to this one 'reality'.

Time Passes By is a peer to peer help group for those who want to support each other in coping with the terror or confusion of time, those who feel their mode of time is different than the time the outside world registers, and those seeking temporalities outside of convention. The aim of the meeting is to give each other support on a reciprocal basis. We will create an intimate atmosphere for building on shared personal experience and empathy; working together to challenge associated stigma and discrimination. We intend this group to be a safe-space for people to support each other – there is no religion, therapy or treatment involved, but simply an opportunity for us to share and perhaps accept our experiences, thoughts and desires. We will not participate in order to be 'fixed' by each other, but to achieve, through this activity, a new ontology, or rather as many as possible; asking together 'what modes of being are there in this world?'. There is no set goal to reach and we will learn from each other rather than any one prescribed line of teachings or philosophy.

Our meetings will take place ir/regularly, and within different locations and contexts. Those unable to be present will also have the option of joining the meeting via Skype; so we can facilitate participants from any 'time zone'.
